The Legare Waring House in Charleston, SC is one of my most favorite venues. There are live oaks dripping in Spanish moss, maybe an alligator or two (?) and grounds that are rich in history. So, when my dear friend Brandon Lutes introduced me to his sister Megan who was getting married here, I was thrilled to help her with her wedding flowers. The color palette she chose was soft pastels in creamy whites, blush pinks, soft greens, with just a pop of light blue.
For her bouquet, Megan choose white peonies and pale pink David Austin Keira Garden Roses.
The bridesmaids wore blush pink gowns and carried bouquets made of white hydrangea, pink tulips, white stock, pink O’hara garden roses, white lisianthus and white ranunculus
The men were just as handsome in dark gray. They wore boutonnières made of white dendrobium orchids with dusty miller. Kinon wore white ranunculus and dusty miller.
The ceremony was held in the avenue of oaks. Such a gorgeous setting! At the alter, a white table held the arrangements. They were made to sit on large, square glass vases filled with curly willow. Made of bells of Ireland, pink peonies, roses, hydrangea, green mini hydrangea, dusty miller and snap dragons.
The reception was held under a tent and on the lawn facing a large pond. Centerpieces were a mix of mercury glass bowls, wrought iron lanterns and other mixed, mercury glass pieces. The bowls were spilling over with blue hydrangea, peonies, tulips, roses, stock, green mini hydrangea and dusty miller.
